Despite the title of the article, I would like to emphasize that the problems that I am going to mention, concern not only youth (youth / young people), and people of all ages. But as a rule, faced with these problems, we just start at a young age, if not with the teenage years (adolescence). It is in this period, the child gradually becomes an adult (adult). It is a time of confusion (turmoil), stress (stress), rebellion (rebellion) and denial (negativism), but formative (personality), who tries to find his place in life, to determine their values (develop own values). Therefore, they are so hated by the world of adults ordered (ordered adult world), which are already established rules, laws and principles (rules, laws and principles).
But the question of how true picture of rebellious teenagers, is quite controversial. We have formed a stereotype that each troubled (troublesome) and gnarly (uncooperative). But on the other hand, the transition from childhood to adulthood, many occur smoothly, without major problems. But teens really great experimenters (great experimenters). They work on their hairstyles, changing musical tastes, go into religion, style diet and one night stands. They try everything to try (try everything out), to do everything in its (do things their own way), trying to figure out, but what will still be correct.
During adolescence, boys and girls begin to work on a serious problem (come to grips with). They have questions along the following lines: «Who am I?», «What do I do in this life?», «What’s the point of all this?». Some questions are the answers quickly, and on some have to work well into adulthood (adulthood). But it is during adolescence becomes the beginning of the search for their own adulthood. Trying to show their independence, they also understand that the still financially dependent on their parents (financially dependent on parents). The feeling of helplessness (sense of impotence) and anger (rage), which require exit, and push teenagers in a world full of children’s problems are not.
What we refer to the problems of young people in English? All of the following applies to any teenager of any state, and therefore these issues are very relevant (urgent) in the modern world. It is a pity that while the deal with them is not possible.
- Alcohol (hitting the bottle). Alcoholism — a problem not only for teens but entire generations. Today, drinking alcohol (alcohol drinking) has passed a series of bad habits (bad / vicious habit) in the ordinary way to relax and have fun. And the statistics of mortality (death rate) from the green dragon (the demon drink) we are not afraid at all. This is one of the most basic problems of youth in the English language, because testing addiction (addiction) habits children start at an early age. But alcohol is not only ruining the health (destroy health) rights, but also makes it unsafe for others. After numerous accidents (accidents / vehicular homicides) on the road are caused by drunk drivers (drunk drivers). But for teenage alcohol is a forbidden fruit (forbidden fruit), who just wanted to taste, but they do not understand that then, as adults, to refuse to drink alcohol, they can not (give up drinking).
- Drug abuse (drug taking / drug consumption). Another equally serious problem of youth in the English language is the use of narcotics (drugs). Become a junkie (drug addict) is easy, once you try what it is, but the return to normal life virtually impossible (impossible), and only a few manage it as an exception. To continue to use drugs, teens are beginning to find the funds to sell (sell drugs). And it seems that curiosity (curiosity) and the desire to try something new will always direct the fledgling young people into the arms of narcotic intoxication. A overdose (overdose) — is death.
- Uncontrolled sexual behavior and teenage pregnancy. The third global challenge of youth in the English language are promiscuity and its consequences, namely teenage pregnancy. The first is very often lately not only lead to the birth of an unplanned child, but also to the production of disease, sexually transmitted (sexually transmitted disease — STD). And hardly anyone knows that HIV (HIV — Human immunodeficiency virus) almost always turns into AIDS (AIDS — Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome), which is an incurable condition, and thus ruining young people at an early age. Teenage pregnancy also did not benefit, because as parents of teenagers may be (teenage mothers and fathers), which themselves are still children who do not have proper education (adequate education) and financial resources for the maintenance of the child (monetary means to support a baby)?
- Violence and gangs. Cruelty has captured the modern world. Whereas previously only called names (labeling) and laughed, sometimes mocking, of children in schools (bulling), but now we hear these or other teens kill their classmates (shoot and kill) the same native walls of educational institutions. This is not a problem of young people in the English language, and something catastrophic. The availability of weapons and the establishment also triggers numerous teenage gangs (gang membership / join gangs), that ambush (ambush) on civilians, are shootouts (drive-by shootings) and their wars among gangs (gang wars).
This, of course, not all the problems of the youth in the English language. Their mass. But to cope with them (cope with) and help your child-teen to choose the right path in life, remember that you have to be susceptible (sensitive) to his needs (needs / demands) and desires (desires), because at this age for They are much more important than the approval of parents and teachers (parents ‘and teachers’ approval), and the credibility of friends and colleagues (friends and colleagues acceptance). Be a friend to your child!
